I am a multidisciplinary artist based in the Netherlands.

Raised in Belarus with its vast forests and numerous lakes, I take inspiration from nature as well as from the vibrant character of my native city Minsk and adoptive one, Rotterdam.

My art balances on the verge of abstract and figurative, to me it’s more important to express the idea and the feelings than to create a perfectly recognisable image. I keep on questioning the materiality and the fabric of reality itself not for the revolutionary purpose, not in order to explode it but with the great desire to show the inexplicable essence of existence and the beauty of the world.

My recent artwork has been revolving around archetypical geometric symbols, their presence in many ancient cultures as well as their semiotics. I believe the geometric symbols are a kind of a forgotten language that could unite us all in a form of social Pangea Ultima. I intend to continue my artistic experiments with them as a therapeutic instrument and as a means of uniting people.

I believe, the future of art is in the combination of several art forms. Each work is a part of me and my reflection on the world around me as well as a dialogue with the material and place. I allow the surprises happen and try to incorporate them in my work. I quite often use monotype or other kinds of mono prints and combine them with other means and materials.

Through my work I question the status quo of the current societal formation, hoping to reveal the common language that could become a means to connect people in a form of Pangaea Proxima. My work centres on migrant identity, (post) colonial reconsiderations, sustainability and feminism.

My recent interest in art installations is a natural continuation of the previous artistic discoveries and the desire to push the boundaries of the traditional art forms.

Let’s make beautiful projects together.
